ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INTRUCTIONS

Deadline for receip of abstracts: September 30, 2005

The Scientific Program Committee of the 14th ASEAN Congress of Anesthesiologists welcomes the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation.

   I. General policies:

  • Individuals are permitted to submit a maximum of TWO abstracts. No limit is imposed on co-authorship.

  • Only the name of the presenting author will appear in the final Congress program.

  • Identical abstracts submitted to other national or international meetings will not be accepted.

  • Abstracts will be presented in English only.

  • Notifications of acceptance will be sent in October, 2005. Abstracts may be accepted     for either oral or poster presentation.

  • Scheduling details and poster instructions will be included with notifications of acceptance.

  • Abstracts that are accepted for presentation will be published in the Congress Book of Abstracts, provided that the presenting author has registered for the Congress and paid the registration fee by September  30, 2005.

   III. Abstract format: 
The following instructions must be followed:

  • Use New Times Roman 12 point font. Do not use italics.

  • Title must be in CAPITAL letters on the first line of the abstract form.

  • Author's(s') name(s), instruction, city and country are to be typed under the title, with initials preceding surname(s). Do not include degrees or professional titles (M.D., Dr., PhD. , Prof. ect). A maximum of four co-authors can be listed on the abstract form.

  • Underline the name of the presenting author

  • Leave one line between  the title/author block and the body of the abstract.

  • Text must be typed single spaced, with left margin justified. Do not indent paragraphs. Text including any tables and figures must be fit within the frame on the abstract form (maximum 250 words).

  • Use standard abbreviations. Place the special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.

  • Text must be sharp, clear, regular and dark enough to photograph well.

  • Proofread text carefully before submitting.

  • Do not fold the abstract.

  • Do not submit abstracts by fax.
